Bed and breakfast Etretat Clos Marie

My wife and I were on honeymoon, touring around Normandy; for our northern part of our vacation, we stayed at Marie's guesthouse in June 2019 for our honeymoon. Our Normandy trip was wonderful before staying with Marie - after staying with her, our trip got infinitely better. Her hospitality and welcoming nature were the physical embodiment of kindness & graciousness; we are grateful for her thoughtfulness and care which went well beyond the expectation of any host / hostess. She also has 2 lovely horses which she allowed us to pet and feed carrots to! Her rooms were inviting and extremely clean!! The bathroom was immaculate - not a single bit of mould, mildew or off-odours anywhere. The common kitchen / dining area was well stocked with quality foods and drinks, replenished daily and always fresh. The furniture were all well maintained, and did I mention everything was really clean? From the bedroom to the common area, every creature comfort and necessity was provided for - including cotton tips! Every morning, Marie would make the effort to go into town to get breakfast for us. Breakfast was an awesome experience to eat croissant-bread (it's a like a loaf of bread but with the texture of croissant) with copious amounts of beurre de ferme, both of which were out-of-this-world delicious. Accompanying those were an assortment of fine jams (of which some were from her relative's farm), apple cider, cheeses and ham! Breakfast was bliss - it was honestly difficult to find food as nice as that. Marie herself would even spend time talking with my wife and me over breakfast to provide very welcomed and helpful information on where we could visit and the timings to visit in order to avoid crowds. Her knowledge on the area was vast - and she'd always be happily interested to listen to us share about our experiences with wide-eyed wonder. Even though we had only known Marie for about 3 days, talking with her was like talking to an old friend, which made staying at her B&B an even more sensational experience. We are very touched by her care and devotion, and she has made a very lasting impact on us. Marie, thank you so much, you've made our experience unforgettable. We're sorry that this review is long overdue, but we simply could not find the proper words to express our appreciation. We really hope to stay with you again soon. God bless you and your family!

Very very nice hosts! The room (it is actually a whole two floors flat!) is tastefully decorated and very clean. The breakfast was excellent. The possibility to charge (a bit slowly) an electric car is definitely a plus. Very recommended!

We left, 1 year ago, on a whim because we needed fresh air! The owner Marie kindly waited for us until the end of the evening 😊 The welcome, the place, the setting, everything was perfect. The idyllic breakfast. And Marie was adorable. 1 year later, we still talk about it and we leave today (finally) the comment it deserves! Thanks again 🙏

Four years ago, I went on a honeymoon. It was always a memorable place. It was a very beautiful place but far from Korea until Paris. It was very nice and I ate the breakfast well. I want to go back. ♡♡ I don't speak French, so understand me.
