Chapelle de la Visitation de Nancy

This chapel was originally the chapel of the convent of the Visitation, it becomes the chapel of the school under Napoleon. Unfortunately, we can visit it only exceptionally. On the other hand its facade is offered to the eyes of the amateur of architecture. Built by Jacques Denis Antoine, author of the hotel of the Mint on the banks of the Seine this building is exceptional for several reasons. First of all it is one of the few churches of Louis XVI style of Lorraine. It is also an original copy of the religious architecture of Jacques Denis Antoine, there is little in France of churches built by him. Finally she remains only visible witness of the convents at the origin of the high school Henri Poincare (not counting the 2 cloisters).
