Saint Sebastien Church of Nancy

This Catholic parish church in Nancy is one of the most attractive I've seen. It's in a beautiful square with very distinctive baroque inspired façades. It was built towards the end of the 1500s and dedicated to Saint Sebastien. Most impressive are the four panels on the front façades with two framing the door represent Jesus and the Virgin Mary, the other two at the end represent Saint Nicolas and Saint Charles. The statues of Saint Sebastien and Duke Leopold are on the second level, on the right and left respectively. What really impressed me about the interior are the vaulted ceilings and the spectacular liturgical choir with decorations depicting four scenes of the martyrdom of Saint Sebastien. Absolutely worth visiting and despite being inside a very commercialized center, it's a welcoming place to visit, explore, meditate, and it's open every day, including weekends, for all to visit.
