The pure fact that there is such a clear gap between reviews it talks to itself. Or 1/5 or 5/5 anyone with common sense will know that this is only possible when people are creating fake 5 star reviews. The owner is the perfect embodiment of rudeness. Its simple if you don't want people enjoying your house, do not rent it out. You can not and will not ever tell me how to spend my holiday days.

EDIT: 8/24/2020 Thank you to the owner for finally responding to me almost one year after the fact! I guess treating people poorly is finally catching up to you and I see you’re doing some type of damage control by responding to old reviews. However, labeling all your negative reviews and comments as fake is not only inaccurate but very fraudulent on your part. In fact, I will remind you that we were indeed paying customers because you charged us in full for a reservation that YOU cancelled. Which in my opinion is blind robbery! I therefore have every right to leave a review based on my experience with your business. As far as your comments on our “late” arrival time, I assume that you must have us confused with another guest (given that you are now making these claims 10 months after our planned stay) We were not going to arrive at 2 AM but rather between 8:30PM to 8:45 PM My husband called you around 7:00PM to inform you of our delay and you went on an hysterical rant yelling that so many guests have done this to you and that you were immediately cancelling our reservation. Absolutely shocked by this, my husband pleaded with you over the phone to have some consideration for our family (we were at a rest stop off the highway) and to please not cancel our reservation as we were only going to be 30-45 minutes late. My husband repeatedly apologized for our tardiness yet you still refused. Your actions were so incredibly rude, aggressive and insulting, I can’t believe you even run a business. To this day I’ve never experienced such hatefulness. You left a family with small children stranded on the road without a place to stay for the night. Obviously if you have any other negative reviews it is directly due to the horrible way you treat people. *Please be aware that the owner of this property only has a good rating on a booking site due to having negative comments deleted. They also have deleted all comments on their Social media page because of negative reviews. This place has absolutely horrible customer service! Book at your own risk as they will cancel your booking without warning if you are late to check in. They cancelled my booking leaving my family of five (we have two infants and a toddler) stranded without a place to stay while we were on the road and on our way to their property. There is no excuse or reason to treat people this way. It’s completely unprofessional and unethical, and they should not be in business.
