As a civil servant, I naturally turn to the Banque Populaire to open an account with the aim of changing my salary domiciliation, my current bank being in another region. When making an appointment, once the documents required to open the account have been stated (identity card, 3 pay slips, tax statement, EDF invoice or other as proof of address) and after having given the information (name, first name, address and telephone number), the advisor takes the list and adds the bank statements from the bank of origin. Hey, until then I could understand but this new requirement is an abuse, the Inquisition, especially since I was ready to bring a RIB for possible verification with the Bank of France file and that I do not intend to make a loan. Soon you will have to bring a criminal record or a certificate of good conduct to open an account at the Banque Populaire. STOP ABUSIVE DEMANDS FROM BANKS! And the advisor remained uncompromising.
