Gorgeous church

A church to visit absolutely if you like the Gothic style. The oldest church in Metz, existed long before the Cathedral was erected. Random happy discovery of a street. It is located on the outskirts of the historic center towards the Porte des Allemands and therefore does not have the honor of official guides which is a shame because it is surely the most beautiful church in Metz with the Cathedral that goes without saying.

The Saint-Eucaire church was built between the 12th and 14th centuries on the site of a previous church of this name, mentioned for the first time in 944. Its 12th century bell tower is undoubtedly the oldest in the city . Massive and square in appearance, it is pierced with Romanesque openings on each of its sides.
