R633-6 of the penal code, it is forbidden to: deposit advertisements, samples or flyers of commercial information in a letterbox that has a STOP PUB post self-service advertisements in a hall of residence or above a block of letter boxes This amounts to depositing objects of any kind without the permission of the person having the enjoyment of the place. This offense is punishable by a 3rd class fine (450 euros), a fine multiplied by 5 if this offense is committed by a legal person (company, organization, independent professional, etc.) as specified in art. 131-38 of the penal code. From 2021, the new anti-waste law reinforces the obligation to respect the stop advertising in art. L 541-15-15 of the Environment Code. It now punishes offenders with a 5th class fine, which corresponds to a fine of 1,500 euros and 3,000 euros in the event of a repeat offense.
