Parking Place De La Grève

Only in France do you get these delightful surprises! Free parking for camping cars by the beautiful Abbey and moat of medieval little town of Bonneval, easy stroll to find a choice of restaurants, even out of season.

Great Aire

This is another 5-star aire de camping car in my opinion and is often where we spend our first night in France after a Dover-Calais crossing. Bonneval is a beautiful town with its centre surrounded by a redirection of part of the River Loir to explain why it is referred to as Little Venice. The aire is a public car park situated alongside part of this waterway and is very close to the centre of town where there are restaurants and bars. There is a motorhome service point with free drinking water and black and grey water waste disposal. At weekends it is common to find parts of the car park cordoned off for vintage car meets, petanque competitions and other community events. On this occasions it can be quite busy and parking is free so please try not to hog too much space and allow the locals to park their cars.

Lovely spot with all facilities

Very quiet place, to sleep, it's perfect. We came across the market day, certainly small but I could buy some vegetables ... The village is super pretty with the moat and the river winding around .. perfect for a night stopover.
