Le Petit Chalet is a recent construction which offers two separate duplexes with private shower room, separate WC and a mezzanine with a sofa bed offering two additional beds. Shared spaces complete the bedroom: a living space with a kitchen area (sink, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, coffee maker but no hob), a sheltered balcony upstairs and a beautiful terrace for lunch or dinner. dine outside. Everything is perfectly functional, the rooms are relatively spacious and the service is excellent. Breakfast (included in the price) is offered between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. (to be defined the day before) and consists of special quality breads, organic muesli cereals, typically local pies, organic fruit jams and juices, ... If this accommodation is ideally located south of Briançon, the starting point for countless hikes in the Clarée valley, towards the Galibier, Lautaret, Granon or Izoard passes, the real strength lies in the quality. the welcome from Véronique and her spouse who offered us ideas for hikes according to our tastes, the desired difficulties, the panoramas appreciated while taking the weather into account. Without these wise advice, our week would not have been the same and we would surely have missed breathtaking landscapes of which we will keep unforgettable memories. A cottage in the main house completes the two guest rooms. These guest rooms are quiet, easily accessible and not far from the shops in the southern commercial area of Briançon (a few minutes by car). To recommend without hesitation for the accommodation itself, the quality of the reception and the location in general.

The guest room is not bad, it's brand new, fairly clean, but we were disappointed by the value for money, and especially by the cold welcome and the very average service (invoice presented on arrival, small lunch half set up, coffee forgotten, 9 a.m. maximum for breakfast and departure at 10 a.m. maximum). The owner told us that she would not take the time to say goodbye to us, indeed, she did not greet us before leaving. Too bad !

We spent six nights in the Petit Chalet: a very modern, clean and well-appointed chalet in absolute calm. Perfect bedding and guaranteed comfort. Note in particular the fantastic breakfasts that allow you to hike for hours without snacking (no pastries but sporty bread, organic cereals, local jams and pies, pancakes, honey, fruit juice) and above all the warm welcome of Véronique and her spouse who took into account our tastes (panoramic view and uncrowded paths ;-)!) and offered us the most beautiful hikes in the different massifs, printing the routes, informing us of the weather and us also recommending perfect restaurants in the evening. The location is ideally located: 5 minutes from the Briançon Sud area where you will find in particular a Carrefour Market, Biocoop, a Marie Blachère bakery, Intersport and Décathlon. We highly and warmly recommend the little Chalet!

Disappointing value for money, and the welcome and service are not up to a bed and breakfast.
