Mr. Mayor I allow myself to contact you because I learned that on June 04 will be organized in your village a day entitled: "feast of the dog" I must admit, I greatly appreciate animals, so I found the idea of ​​having a very interesting party, especially in this period when we realize the importance of nature and well-being animal. Only I see that this "dog party" is at the expense of other species, I let you imagine the coughing spell that was mine when I saw this horror. I admit that I don't understand how you can celebrate an animal by letting other animals be killed and tortured at the same time. It's a bit like those who hunt without arms. We do not finish the animal but we let it agonize under the fangs of dogs. This aside, we love nature and animals, that's for sure !! It is true that it is exciting to see the distress of the poor animal who finds himself surrounded by all dogs or men and who feels that for him it is the end. These animals often have a family, or a pack but hey after all it does not matter, they are only animals devoid of feelings, for sure ... How can you, as mayor, let your youngest citizens attend this kind of bloody spectacle? How do you want to teach our children, the respect of others and animals when we let them attend this macabre spectacle. How can you let children see these horrors? Don't you think they see enough like this every day? Do you want to celebrate the dog? An agility contest for example ... it's much smarter than a hunting contest. Your day has a great program with rescue dogs etc ... I understand that hunting needs to recruit and that suddenly rescue dogs, wood carving are only arguments to bring families with their children , to make them think it will be a family date. But do you think that's how the hunt will recruit? Hunting represents a minority that pollutes our lives. 80% of French people are against hunting, but these people don't care ... It's a deadly passion (we no longer count hunting accidents, bullets in houses etc ...). They already have festivals and our forests in high season, why show this? Hunting with hounds is an archaic passion, how in our time we can still talk about it and show it. I see that already 13 "parties" have taken place, I hope that this 14th year will no longer be tainted with blood. It took brave people to make a difference at different levels, I hope you will take advantage of it.
