Le Foulon

I've had a couple of stays at Le Foulon, one of which was for a wedding and what a great event that was! The property is huge so is perfect for larger events and big get togethers. Nick and Mia are very welcoming and have lots of good ideas for things to do close by. I'm now fortunate enough to live in the area and owe a very big thank you to Le Foulon as it was the first place I ever stayed when visiting around here.

Thanks Nick and Mia for hosting our memorable wedding at the fabulous Foulon. The setting, accommodation and amenities are everything you need to celebrate any occasion. Located in a very accessible area of the Alpes Maritime, 25 minutes from Nice airport, the stunning grounds and beautiful hotel offer a secluded venue that is private and self contained. From the moment you arrive there is a feeling of well being.

We booked Le Foulon to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary together with our extended family and it surpassed all our expectations. The accommodation was authentic, spacious and well fitted out, giving individual family groups room to be apart when they wanted it, but lots of communal space for games and conversation. I even managed to find a nice quiet spot in the conservatory to do a day's work when I had to. As a family group being able to sit down to a meal outside every night was priceless, and those in our group who enjoy cooking, were delighted by the commercial kitchen. We enjoyed being surrounded by nature and walking in the grounds and the woods nearby. The children loved the private pool but were happy to be dragged away for trips to coast and to the higher mountains nearby. Nick and Mia made sure that we had everything that we needed, including our privacy. They prepared and served an unforgettable three course meal for our anniversary , catering for the varied dietary requirements of our group including the children. All in all this was a great experience and we will want to return to Le Foulon in future.

The location was perfect for our 5 families. The setting is amazing and Le Foulon is large enough to easily absorb all 25 of us and still bring us all together around one table for dinners in the evenings. The bedrooms are spacious, all en-suite and have great beds! The kitchen facilities are excellent: walk-in fridge, professional dishwasher, coffee machine and more. Nick and Mia are amazing hosts. Discrete, but always there when you need them. We took advantage of their shopping service and they catered for us three, both of which we highly recommend. They also organised deliveries from the bakery every morning. The pool is inviting with enough loungers for everyone and our dogs loved the walks down to the river. The area is great for activities - biking and canyoning were some of the highlights - and some of our group made outings to côte d'azur villages. It's high enough up that temperatures aren't too unbearable even in late July/August. If you're looking for a place for a group holiday in France, I challenge you to find a better place with better hosts.

We had a fantastic stay at Le Foulon just outside the medieval village of Greolieres. Conveniently reached within about 40..50 mins from Nice airport, the mountain scenery as you approach the property, is nothing other than majestic. Nick and Mia are highly professional hosts. Readily available when needed, discrete and unobtrusive when not. The house is spacious and relaxed, perfect for our group of 31 which ranged in age from ten months to, well, let's just say grandparents. Bedrooms are elegant and spacious as are the bathrooms. The ability for thirty one people to sit down for meals together, both inside and outside on the lovely deck, was a key element of our holiday. The extremely well equipped catering kitchen and walk in cold store were well used and much appreciated by the group. Outside, the pool was always inviting, maintained at a pleasant temperature. There was an abundance of inflatables for the kids amongst us and plenty of loungers. Highly competitive games of rounders were enjoyed on the surrounding land and walks down to the river were essential. It would be impossible to conclude without mentioning the Franck, proprietor of Boulangerie, Les Délices de Caussols, who delivered freshly baked croissants and breads, at a time of our choice every morning and Charlene from La Barricade who delivered 27 freshly made pizzas to the house one evening at a time of our choice. What fantastic service in a relatively rural environment!
