A pretty little church in a village that is no less charming. And what about Saint John the Baptist named the Precursor ??? Is not everything said in his NAME ???

Best church in the world. Nothing especially amazing inside to see is a quiet church.

Mass every Sunday at 9:45 am. Mass during the week also: - Tuesdays at 9:15 in Buc and 12:20 in Vélizy, - Wednesdays at 9:30 am at Jouy and at 12:20 at Loges and Vélizy, - Thursdays at 9:30 am at Val d´Albian and at 12:20 in Vélizy, - Fridays at 12:20 in Velizy, - Saturday mornings at 9:30 am in Vélizy. We find traces of the parish of Buc at the beginning of the 13th century. The base of the bell tower could date from this period; it was altered in 1755 as evidenced by an inscription. The current heart dates from the 16th century. The framed nave dates back to the 17th century. Around 1660, the territory of the municipality was attached to the large hunting park of the domain of Versailles. The parish then becomes "royal". In 1817, the church was declared "in a frightening state of degradation": repairs were carried out. Again in 1939, it was declared too dilapidated and its closure was requested. In 1940, the explosion of the Satory powder magazine destroyed the stained glass windows and the roof. The church was restored between 1947 and 1963. One of the bells dates from 1775 and is the work of the founder DESPREZ, whose trademark it bears. Marie-Adélaïde of France, aunt of Louis XVI, and the king himself sponsor the new bell baptized Louise Auguste Adélaïde. A show organized by the town hall of Buc paid tribute to him recently.
