About 1 month ago I gave Mr. Delage an old pocket watch to get a restart estimate. Mr. Delage therefore gave me a repair estimate of 580 euros a few days ago! Believing that this watch was hardly worth more, I refused the quote and picked up my watch yesterday. Still having a doubt I went to a "standard" watchmaker "in Versailles. He said to me:" I am not a specialist in old watches but I can look. "After a visual inspection of a few minutes, he finds that the movement is clean but that the second hand is out of its axis then it puts it back in. The watch started to work immediately. The watchmaker told me that a simple "mechanical" blocking due to the seconds hand, out of its axis, prevented the minutes hand from functioning normally, therefore the overall movement of the watch! This intervention of 10 minutes maximum cost me nothing and my watch works perfectly. Delage is either incompetent, dishonest or both, but one thing is certain, I will never go to see this "watchmaker" again.

Very professional and honest team. I left to make a repair estimate, a very old pocket watch that I was given which no longer worked. I thought it was the mechanism that was damaged. This gentleman was very honest and just changed my battery while pampering this antique. :) So, I recommend this craftsman without hesitation. You can entrust him with objects that others would surely have damaged or would not have known what to do with them.
