La Mare à Roselière

This forest of 1035 hectares, located south of the city, consists of a set of small forest massifs separated by roads or enclaves (Satory camp, Golf Boulie ...). The forest of Metz, located east of the forest, is one of them. Swamp forest, or at least wet until the seventeenth century, ponds will be built over time. In addition to these large bodies of water, intra-forest ponds scattered throughout the forest play a complementary and indispensable role in the conservation of biodiversity.
