Do not get off here under any circumstance. The other reviewers are correct, this is not a safe place for tourists at all.

Not the best station for reaching the Sacre Coeur. The streets surrounding this station are rife with dodgy looking men lurking and watching you. I did not feel particularly safe. It's not until you walk further uphill and emerge into Montmatre, that the area looks more upscale and has a completely different vibe.

Small station with access to metro line 4 only. Trains are frequent but the platform fills up quickly and the trains are very busy.

Superbly awful. Saw crazy people all around. Do not get off here, even if it’s close to your destination. Get off at Marcadet Poissoniers; short walk to Château Rouge and a lot safer.
