Travelled on the Paris Metro subway from Chateau-Landon to Trocadero to visit the Eiffel Tower on 14/1/19. Having travelled on the Tokyo metro before last year I could definitely see the difference in quality. The carriages were small and dirty. The stations themselves didn’t seem to been maintained properly. The carriages were extremely overcrowded. Some Parisians were rude and unfriendly. Very very bad experience. I wouldn’t travel on these dirty, poorly maintained service unless I really have to. The staff were unfriendly and rude. They often used gestures to communicate. They should really learn to speak English if they want to cater to tourists. I really should give less than one star.

I stayed at Ibis Style hotel, right next to this metro station Maybe it is not a big one, but strategically placed, because of the main stations on line 7, the proximity of Gare de l’est .
