Very interesting exhibit on the water pumping station and water usage throughout the ages

Nice museum, well worth visiting! Former pumping station to provide Cahors with drinking water by making use of the strong current of the river. Tip: use the bridge over the river to walk over to the museum (and park your car in Cahors in the neighbourhood of the bridge). Parking at the museum is not really possible.

Opening hours are wrong online. Basically it's open 15-18hr Friday, Saturday, Sundays and public holidays until end June. 2nd unsuccessful attempt to visit. I think I'll give up.

Closed most days October to April. Refer photo uploaded for opening times. Basically Friday Saturday and Sunday from 2.30pm to 5.30pm over this period.

In the summer after visiting the water museum or even without visiting, there is a small bar that is open. What a drink with a beautiful view of the Pont Valentré. In the shade at the end of the afternoon. Possibility to eat an ice cream.
