Dominique Milherou (12/10/2020)
This astonishing chateau, built in the pine forest of La Reynarde from 1860 to 1865, is an imitation of Chenonceau. It takes its name from Louis Régis, a wealthy shipowner from Marseille for whom the vessel was intended. It is the result of the work of Marseille architects Sixte Rey and then Vaud, the sculptor Émile Aldebert taking care of the decorations. In the salons of the Régis castle, he built sumptuous marble fireplaces, Brouzet stone, stucco and polychrome earthenware. The house has been listed since 1996 in the supplementary inventory of historical monuments as a witness to the bastidaire heritage of the Huveaune valley.

College on a beautiful wooded site.

Very beautiful castle from 18-19 century, today used by a Catholic college.

Very nice castle, replica Chenonceau, at least for its main part, Chenonceau is obviously much larger. Not to visit, it is a catholic and private college named "Notre Dame de la Jeunesse", teaching at the top.

Beautiful from afar but you can't go there to visit it. It's a private high school ...
