This building is mostly amusing. It is interesting to see how convoluted medieval spaces (which I love) influenced this “prophet” of modernity. I would have wondered what it was like, had I not visited. I can see how he influenced our modern “architecture“. The latter statement should not be taken as a compliment. Superfluous beauty no longer enters into calculations while building residential and public places. The Corbusier exhibit at the Pompidou did not improve my opinion of him.

Left wanting more from this one. The house didn't feel alive to me. It didn't speak to me the way I thought it would. Maybe because it is a little worn out and it is mostly empty of objects that could help bring some life to it.
