Bistro de Lafare

We happened upon this bistro almost by mistake. The food here though is totally serious and wonderful. We can highly recommend it. We had a pork chop that was outstanding and the ratatouille was probably the best we ever had. The house wine, at least the red, was a terrific value by the pitcher.

Tucked away off the main road but worth a detour. Good choice of drinks and very acceptable options on menu. Salads are large! Shaded seating both in and out.

We enjoyed a really good meal at this bistro de pays. The menu du jour was excellent value and the food was high quality. Warm, friendly service from the staff.

Cosy and friendly atmosphere, good wines. Large choice of salads as main course. Some typically french specialities, like andouillettes and caillette. Cost in use Ok. Other dishes medium and less inspired.

OK service by the waiter but the Chevre Chaud was too cold
