Bordeaux International School

I went to this school back in 2004. At the time it was at a different location but the amount of information I learned has made me the professional individual I am today. I thank my teachers and Ms. Cussac for a wonderful experience while in pursuit of my GCSE’s. If I ever have kids I would love to put them in this school one day. This school deserves more than 5 stars.

I school that makes you feel welcome. It was great as a transitional school or as a permanent IF the price is ok. It is expensive. Clases are small and everyone knows everyone. Met lots of nice parents and kids. This is a school where they will be pushed, so prepare to study. Definitely recommend!!

We chose to send our children to BIS to maintain their bilingual skills upon our return from the USA. Our daughter spent 6 years and our son 4. Both have now moved on to Collège in the state education sector. Their levels in all subjects has stood them in good stead during the transition. Our decision to leave the caring cocoon of BIS as their teenage years approached was due to our feeling that they needed to be part of something bigger. As an education professional all of my working life, including the role of head teacher, I was impressed not only by the academic qualities provided by a dedicated staff but especially the ethos of mutual respect and caring for others engendered by the school. The sense of community where everyone knew everyone from the early learning section through to the A level sections was wonderful to share. Parent participation was always welcome, a member of staff always ready to assist and inform. The small class size enabled teachers to take each and every child’s needs into consideration, and we have no regrets whatsoever regarding the choice we made as a family and I know our children enjoyed the valuable years they spent growing in such a multicultural environment.

This is a great school to study in. The teachers there are the best teachers I ever seen in any of schools. (and I studied in 6 different schools all around the world) English is my second language but I still got my GCSE, and the school impact was one of the main reasons why i did get it. The school has helped me to progress in my studying and i am very grateful for their impact in my life.

My husband and I brought our three children from America and enrolled them at Bordeaux International School with the intention that they would learn French and keep up their English. We were very pleased with the school and our children learned French about 6 months later. We had our children enrolled at BIS for three years before moving back to the US. The teacher student ratio helped the children thrive and the director of the school is very dedicated to the school's success. We have French friends who send their children to the school and they are also very pleased. We return every year to visit the school as the children are still quite fond of their "French" school.
