Chapelle Notre Dame de la Paix

Beautiful little chapel (Notre Dame de la paix) located between Le Colisée cinema and Exelmans square. A story tells that it was almost destroyed during the Second World War. Dynamite had been put by the Germans to explode the chapel at the same time as the bridge. Fortunately, thanks to the courage of the passive resistance of the time, the monument was saved. A handful of men demolished the explosives overnight, risking their lives. Thanks to these brave men, you can still admire this pretty little chapel, inseparable from the city of Bar le Duc.
