Public Primary School Saint-Thomas

This school was built on the former Palais de la Monnaie in the years 1905 to 1907 in the Alsatian neo-renaissance style with its scrolled gables and turrets at the ends. He reuses an old oriel window from the Renaissance for the Concierge apartments. The building deserves to be able to be visited. The architect had not made fun of the children who were to attend him (of whom I was in the 60s). Sculptures, ironwork, small columns around a monumental, light staircase are only a hymn to beauty. Failing to enter it, look in the courtyard for the well, the columns under the courtyard, inclusions in the walls of the old Palais de la Monnaie.
