Caudry War Memorial

Located at the corner of rue Aristide Briand and rue de Saint Quentin, this memorial is in a small park in the city center, with trees and flowers. It has the shape of a gray stone cube surmounted by a statue mounting a woman having a dead soldier at her feet and holding a child behind her, so that the child does not see the dead. On each side, scenes representing the French during the occupation are represented on bronze plaques. We can read Caudry to his children who died for the country. The names of the soldiers who died during the various conflicts are not registered. They appear on the war memorials located in the two cemeteries and at the entrance to the football field.
