How long does it take to return the security deposit

While on vacation in the area, a crack appeared on the windshield and the latter in full progress, I ask for help and I am told that it is a franchise and that there is no replacement vehicle for my category. I had to insist that the person at the counter called Hertz assistance otherwise I would have had to take care of the care alone. After 5 min, I am given the phone with a representative who does not offer viable solutions. He promises to call back within 10 minutes and I'm still waiting. Here, 2 hours of vacation lost with 1 hour of car and a disappointing experience.
