An extraordinary place and a very interesting guide

This chapel is unfortunately closed throughout the year except at rare moments such as heritage days or biennale of the image and it's a shame. Indeed it contains a treasure of sculpture of the seventeenth century: the mausoleum of the Duke of Montmorency, executed on the orders of Richelieu in 1632 in Toulouse for high treason. His wife took the veil in Moulins precisely in the convent of the Visitation and built a magnificent tomb for her husband. The sculptor, Anguier, achieves a masterpiece in the purest Florentine style. You will tell me what a relationship between a French sculptor and Florence, it is however very simple Anguier works in Rome for more than 10 years and therefore was strongly influenced by the great masters of Italian sculpture.
