Let me explain: In breakdown of electric window regulator, driver side, of course, on a car "collector" I inquire and very difficult to find part, more than 450 € HT poses in addition, almost same price, therefore repair of more than € 1000 minimum VAT at a brand dealership. The "adaptable" part is on Ebay or "origin" in certain scrap yards of "France Casse" so I buy one at half the price of the new one, to assemble it myself. Unfortunately at the reception it is a different model from mine by the absence of a fugitive "time delay" contact mounted on a plate, plus its alloy stopper, fixed by two screws and nuts. The sender did not respect the wording of my order, however explicit. So, to have the same part, it was enough for me on the old, to unsolder the support plate of the fugitive contact "time delay" and to reweld it on the new one, without melting it, with a "wire" post, as well as drilling the two missing holes in the right place for the stop. I phone my usual known places and nobody can or wants to do this work for X or Y reason. One day, leaving Luberon Bio where I had just done my shopping, and having thought of asking a local "bodybuilder" for this work, I came up with the idea of ​​crossing to ask Xavier Meyer who I was not a customer of. . (as I said it is at least thirty years that I did not need a bodybuilder) Busy with his worker, he interrupts as soon as he can and comes to meet me. Explanation made, he kindly tells me that I can take the piece to him and with additional explanations on the spot, he will see better, but that he thinks he can do this work for me one evening in time lost, or in between, and that 'I should not be in a hurry. No problem since my car drives very rarely, I carry my two pieces to it, and about twenty days later, I recover my two window regulator mechanisms with my new one functioning correctly after modification.
