The Abbey Bookshop

My preference for English books in Paris. Compared to their famous nearby rival, they perhaps have a less thorough selection of new books, but the plus side is they have more unusual editions and hard to find books, both new and second hand, and a much larger second hand selection. If you need something very specific, maybe S&C is better, but if you want to browse and discover something you don't know, the Abbey is definitely the better choice.

I really love this gem of a bookstore. Owner is awesome and the selection of books is great. It's a bookshop filled to the brim with books so it's got a real old school charm / magical feel to it.

This bookshop has a lot of classics. There are elegant collector editions of famous books. Moreover, one can find some technical literature.

My favourite bookshop in Paris, handsdown. You need to have patience to explore and find gems among the chaos but it will be worth the time spent there.
