Hertz - Paris - Carrousel du Louvre

* * update once I finally spoke to a nice person who handled the situation professionally, I was able to have verbal confirmation of a reimbursement process. I will know in 5 days. All things considered, I am still quite shocked as to how the situation was initially handled and would be very cautious about renting again here. CAUTION! They charged me for three extra days even though I returned the car on time (Saturday at 16h) Their excuse? " We had 200 car rentals, so we didn't get to look at all of them until Monday and so we charged you for two extra days ($323). I filled out everything perfectly on the form, indicating the time of return as well as the timestamp as to when I bought gas right before in Paris. They still told me it was not enough proof. They gave the the line to another Hertz agency, when I called it said "we are not in service."

A 2.5h wait in line to pick up our car on Saturday. Another 30min while they looked for the car keys... An absolute, disastrous mess. Also they don’t open at 8am even though the reservation system lets you book that and the website states an 8am opening. The absolute worst I’ve ever experienced. Worse than useless!

The local office does not return the caution (760€). I call many time and they don't pick up the phone during office hours. I contact the main Hertz custumer support and they tell me to contact my crediut card company (without telling if they even contacted the local office). What a joke this company. Also expect a possible hour of waiting there... extremely slow.

Excellent, courteous service, a cut above their competitors. The place is not easy to find though.

Was supposed to return at Air France Terminal downtown Paris. You get there and a board says that you have to go to another address. You get there and they don’t care. No discount for the trouble they have caused.
