Hotel de Lutèce

We rented a top floor room for one night. Gorgeous historical building with lots of character. Great view of the rooftops from our room, and the room was more spacious than we expected. We did have to carry our bags up 1 flight of stairs as the elevator only went up the first 5 floors. We interacted with 3 different front desk staff members during our stay; 2 of the 3 were nice and helpful. One said it was no problem to store our bags in the lobby to do some sightseeing the next day, and the other helped us to call for a taxi when leaving and chatted with us. The 3rd staff member was a bit rude about a rule that was not explained to us by the previous staff member (must leave room key at desk when leaving for the day), and she was visibly annoyed about the number of bags we were going to have held (2 suitcases and 2 backpacks). FYI bags are simply stored out of the way in the small lobby, not locked in a room. We felt that they were safe there. I feel that our overall experience was wonderful, and the location of the hotel on the Ile Saint-Louis is great, being on a charming and quaint street with lots of shops and food nearby.

My wife and I stayed for 5 nights in October and we loved it! Very lovely room, incredible bath, quiet, and charming. Front desk staff were excellent. The location is perfect. We will be back, soon.

If you are looking for a perfectly situated hotel in Paris, on a perfect street with everything you need- cheese shop, bread shop, wine shop, sweet treats, cafes and restaurants, then this is the place for you. An easy walk to some of the most sought after areas of Paris. After a long day of sight seeing, you come home to your quiet room. The staff are wonderful and extremely pleasant. Since I was staying for 5 nights, the manager was willing to upgrade me to a nicer room- bigger with more light, with windows overlooking the street at no extra cost. It was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday!! Thank you Paloma and staff!
