Complete Rip-off Artist. Nice the first time--Cough--with money-- takes you for a further ride the second. Neighborhood knows him for what he is. Con artist. Avoid.

Wow/Génial, What a place! / Quel endroit! (Traduction française de la revue principale ci-dessous) After disembarking from a train at the nearby Gare de Montparnasse, I decided to walk home in the Parisian sun. When I saw the sign for the store, I remembered that Safari was not opening on my newish MacBook Air. So I walked in and asked the gentleman who was behind the counter if he would help me. He totally helped me. He took the time to examine my computer, install Firefox on it, and then determine that Safari would not open because my Mac needed a system update to Catalina. Then he asked if I wanted to leave the laptop in the store for about 90 minutes so that he could download and install Catalina! I didn't think I had time, so left satisfied with Firefox. The next day, when I realized that I could not access all of my bookmarks without Safari, I returned to the store, and the gentleman readily agreed to hold on to my laptop for those 90 or so minutes to download Catalina. What service! This store also has a good assortment of Mac accessories like keyboards, cables, iPhone cases, and more. Il a pris le temps d'examiner mon ordinateur, d'y installer Firefox, puis de déterminer que Safari ne s'ouvrirait pas parce que mon Mac avait besoin d'une mise à jour du système à Catalina. Il m'a ensuite demandé si je voulais laisser l'ordinateur portable dans le magasin pendant environ 90 minutes pour qu'il puisse télécharger et installer Catalina ! Je ne pensais pas avoir le temps, alors je suis parti satisfait de Firefox. Le lendemain, quand je me suis rendu compte que je ne pouvais pas accéder à tous mes signets sans Safari, je suis retourné au magasin, et le monsieur a accepté de garder mon ordinateur portable pendant ces 90 minutes environ pour télécharger Catalina. Quel service ! Ce magasin propose également un bon assortiment d'accessoires pour Mac comme des claviers, des câbles, des étuis pour iPhone, et plus encore. Je le recommande de tout cœur.

I won't go back to this store. They were very dismissive of me and my problem. The store is small and when I was there it was pretty crowded. I explained that I wanted to repair my mac laptop. I had already taken it to the Apple Genius Bar, who had diagnosed the likely problem, but refused to repair as it was too old. It was purchased in 2010. But they recommended that I could take it to an authorized dealer who could repair it. The problem would probably involve replacing the mother board, which is expensive but less expensive than buying a new laptop. When I explained this to Ginko, without looking at the mac the technician said he could not repair it because Apple no longer makes this mother board. I asked whether "no longer makes" the motherboard also means "cannot order one" and he said "yes", which in my opinion is ridiculous and unbelievable. I asked whether I needed to go elsewhere and he said "yes". He said all this while serving another customer and without even looking at me while he was talking to me. I found the experience very impersonal and frankly rude. I don't believe the information he told me. I won't go back to Ginkgo.
