La Cave du Sénat

A wonderful wine shop near the Jardin du Luxembourg. The owner was most helpful in recommending a bottle of wine that was within the price we wanted to spend. He also provided us with plastic cups so we could enjoy our wine in the park with our picnic lunch.

This place was great. The shop owner was very helpful with me choosing a champagne based on my likes and dislikes. There also just happened to be a vendor dropping off a case of champagne and he told me his story of making champagne, so of course I had to buy a bottle of his as well! The shop owner spoke a decent amount of English, which was great for me since I know very little French.

Friendly and helpful. What a fine place to stop in for a bit of advice and wine conversation.
