Boulangerie Eric Kayser - Odéon

It is one of the most prominent boulangérie in Paris and it's definitely worth visiting. A classic baguette with homemade butter and jam with an orange fresh tasted like heaven. They offer a vast array of desserts, pastry and sandwiches here, both take over and indoors. The only slight obstacle for a 5-star is that you need to speak a fluent and eloquent French to get what you want in an instant; otherwise, be prepared for long and rather humiliating talk about what you are pointing your index finger at.

We came early this morning and asked if they spoke English, the man serving us said no and became very rude. My 17 year old daughter then spoke to him very politely in her broken French but it was too late, the worker decided to yell at us and make us feel bad. We ordered two croissants, two yogurt cups and 4 coffees. He yelled when I asked for milk for my coffee (in my broken French) because obviously now that’s a latte and I’m a dumb American. He made us all lattes and gave us the yogurt. Forgot our croissants but also didn’t charge us. I was too scared to go back and ask. The yogurt was very tart despite the fruit and crunchy toppings. Coffee was coffee, won’t go back. By the way, he was very polite to the French customers.

Hands down the rudest place that I’ve ever been to in Paris terrible behavior from the man serving this morning rude snatched my card and gave me the wrong order. Terrible..

Found some delicious baguette and a loaf of nut bread. Late in the day, not much selection of pastries. We'll have to go back earlier in the day next time.

The pistachio brioche and pistachio cupcake are amazing! I never would have thought they would be but.... I was pleasantly surprised!
