This theatre is not only a Parisian institution, it is also a Parisian tradition located in the 5th, in the midst of a half a dozen wonderful bookstores and coffee shops. If you are in Paris, check their website and book a movie if you can. They usually only show old movies of repute, and often have festivals of particular actors, directors, or themes. The tickets are really cheap too. If you book online is cheaper than on-site. The seats are very clean and comfortable...I am so sorry I discovered this place so late and it is located around the corner from my apartment.

Sweet, neighborhood haunt for cinephiles. Saw an American film by Jim Jarmusch, with French captions. So incredible to be sharing this experience with an appreciative French audience of all ages. Saw an elderly woman with significant mobility issues enter and leave alone, and then go off into the night in a cab — made me love Paris all the more.

Loved it.

Tiny movie theatre with good selection of movies. The rooms are worn and stinky, and the chairs are nor the most comfortable. No popcorn or drinks.

Excellent arthouse cinema, historic, very popular with Parisians. Has a very varied program. I don't agree at all with someone who wrote on this site that the 'salles' ('rooms') are small and stinky. Not true!
