One of the few remaining and certainly most popular independent cinemas, Le Grand Action is a small gem for cinephiles. Located on the très artsy Left Bank, it screens indie and art house films, classics as well as the latest releases. It also hosts film premieres, mini festivals and special events. With a dominance of red, the interior design pays homage to various cinematic legends. It’s a Parisian landmark cinephiles must visit.

A lovely eclectic and artsy Latin Quarter cinema. We were able to see the wonderful Milos Forman film "Ragtime" in the original English (w/French subtitles). I was happily surprised to see this theater so well-attended, especially for a 5:00 weekday showing.
