Nice little camp site, lovely pool area, cafe facility and good private sites, typical of good French campsites. Good spot for a cycle up Mont Ventoux.
The secret alternative campsite close to great cycling and wines.
This campsite deserves a "medal d'or". The owner took over the campsite last year and completely renovated the campsite in a Ventoux atmosphere: beautiful sanitary facilities with a child-friendly "pirate" shower. The small bar by the pool has all kinds of cyclist elements. For cycling fanatics who want to do the Ventoux for a while and then want to cycle elsewhere again, he has a ready-made tent or there is the possibility to rent a mobile home. If you go camping in the old-fashioned way, the terraced area for tents is truly magnificent: you can look from the foot of the Ventoux over the Rhone valley to Avignon. The latter city is always wonderful to stroll through for a day (free parking and bus transport to the center on Parking Italy). Due to the Corona, this site had very few visitors this year; for us that was great, because we often had the swimming pool to ourselves, but this campsite definitely deserves a full occupancy. The service is fantastic and .... you don't know what you're tasting when the owner, fold and kids offer their weekly aperitif, mmmm!
Camping Le Bouquier was very pleased.
Friendly campsite owner who is always helpful and cheerful. Besides French you can also ask him the most important things in English. We could order fresh croissants which were even brought to the tent every morning.
Toilet building is beautiful and always clean.
The campsite is partly on a hill, so you have a beautiful view if you come with a tent and there is usually a nice cooling breeze.
Because of COVID-19 it was quiet, but we had no problems with this (measures to keep a distance are well arranged in, for example, the toilet building).
We had a great stay at Le Bouquier campsite.
The welcome is very warm, the managers are very nice and very helpful (small aperitif offered to taste the homemade rum and bread and pastries deposited every day on our site) and they always have a smile 😊 The toilets are new and maintained daily . If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing campsite with a swimming pool, look no further, come to Le Bouquier campsite, I highly recommend.
