Told them I had to report a pickpocketing incident to claim under my insurance. They’re pretty rude, super unwilling to speak english although i spoke all the french i knew, asked me all sorts of weird unrelated questions like whether i lived here permanently, which hotel i was staying at, when was i leaving, WHERE i was leaving to (when i said i was leaving for London she scoffed), when all i was asking them was whether or not i could make a report. Basically, it seemed like she was profiling me and where i came from as to determine whether it was worth their time. Rude, and kind of discriminatory. I was polite throughout the whole encounter, and answered all her irrelevant questions. Finally, she tells me that i have to wait 4 hours to file a report with them about the incident. I didn’t have the time to wait, so i left. Honestly, it’s sad when the police can’t even record and counter petty crime efficiently in their own city, let alone take it seriously. My thoughts are: don’t bother going here if you don’t speak french, if you’re not french, or if a petty crime happened to you that they’ll probably disregard. Or if you have to go, keep your expectations in check.

When we missed our bus at night, we went there to ask if we can stay and they let us. They were so nice and kind.

Very very bad experience ..staff at reception incredibly rude more than 5hr wait to report a burglary at apt and a stolen car takes priority ..

Two days apart my companion and I had our 2 bikes stolen during the night. While they were parked in the street of the police station ... I had an appointment yesterday at 7 p.m. to sign a pre-complaint. The person in charge had already left and had not left my file to his colleagues who asked me to come back today. Today rebelote !! How many times will I have to come back? In addition, the policeman who greeted me was not wearing his mask correctly (lowered under the chin).

Very well received one evening, and without waiting, when filing a complaint. But what makes the original and unique interest of this police station lies in the presence of the 13 large statues at the top of the building. It is a representation of "The Dying Slave", by Michelangelo, whose original sculpture is in the Louvre.
