High quality human support. Different students are not victimized or pushed aside. Of course, the standards are high, but it is after all a good enough thing: life is demanding and if you want to learn to do things well, you have to know how to comply. The selection is nevertheless quite strong during the transition from middle school to high school (on the level and not only on the work provided).

Very good establishment of excellence! Students are pulled up so they can give the best of their abilities. I highly recommend this property! Of course you have to be motivated, especially when you just integrate :). Work, Attire, Talent! Rigor in personal work and perseverance are the keys to success

I was educated at Stanislas College from my 6th to 3rd. This establishment looks like a good college at first glance, but it really isn't. So I will present to you (in my opinion) the positive and negative aspects of the teaching and the general atmosphere of the college. For starters, it's a college that has many buildings, so the 3,700 students aren't crammed into tiny rooms. Some buildings are new and well maintained (notably the “Nazareth” building which accommodates the “girls” and “mixed” classes, the ULIS classes and some labs in my memory), but others are old, poorly insulated, with tables. and dirty and damaged paintings (in particular the “Mejecase” and “Ninféi” buildings in which we find the labs, the “boys” and high schools, the music and art rooms). There are also 2 swimming pools and 7 gymnasiums in the establishment. Each gymnasium will have a different surface area and purpose, such as a gymnasium dedicated to martial arts, another for gymnastics, one for basketball, one with bleachers etc. These infrastructures are practical because they avoid travel between the establishment and external premises. On the teaching side, this college is not necessarily the one I would recommend to parents who are looking for an establishment for their child, let me explain: a large part of the teachers are not really listening to their students, teach the best by letting those with more difficulty in the subject in question fend for themselves to learn and get good grades. The pupils, even the youngest (I am even talking about primary school pupils with whom I was able to discuss this subject) are subject to great pressure from the teachers as well as from the prefects on the quality and quantity of work provided. , we always ask for more, even if the 6th grade student works 4 hours at home in the evening after class. The tests, especially in mathematics, often include more complicated exercises than those done in class, the pupils are therefore confronted with something new during the test, the bad mark is therefore inevitable. The teachers (at least some of them) will be happy to shout and punish your children at the slightest bad grade, when that is not their role, and we know that to sanction the student rather than looking for the problem. is not the most educational solution. On the social side, I also noted some issues that I think are important to report. The first, which may seem obvious, is the imposed dress code. We know in advance that it is very strict, but we do not necessarily realize the future impact on the students. You should know that in middle school and high school, young people try to know their identity, and that also involves the "look". In addition, you have to know how to evolve with the times and I'm not sure that the ban on cuffs at the bottom of pants, colored shoe soles, hoodies, prints on clothes, sneakers or even simply detach her hair is very relevant with the 21st century. today it is normal clothing, which is not a barrier to teaching. Students are also teased by peers from other colleges precisely because of this slightly abusive dress code. It is good to know that teachers, on the other hand, are not required to dress according to the rules. Another point to be addressed is the behavior of the students among themselves. There is a great deal of meanness among the students, especially when they are not from the same social background. This nastiness is fueled not only by the cruelty of the teenagers among themselves, but also by the competition generated by the pressure to stay or not in the school, the pressure of the teaching staff and also that of the prefects and principals. We feel a bit like in a factory where feelings are only secondary to success.
