The Lycée Louis-le-Grand is a prestigious secondary school located in Paris. Founded in 1563 by the Jesuits as the Collège de Clermont, it was renamed in King Louis XIV of France's honor after he extended his direct patronage to it in 1682. It offers both a sixth-form college curriculum (as a lycée or high school with 800 pupils), and a post-secondary-level curriculum (classes préparatoires with 900 students), preparing students for entrance to the elite Grandes Écoles for research, such as the École Normale Supérieure, for engineering, such as the École Polytechnique, or for business, such as HEC Paris. Students at the Lycée Louis-le-Grand are called magnoludoviciens.

Le lycée Louis-le-Grand features in the early scenes of the novel of the French Revolution by Hilary Mantel (1992) A Place of Greater Safety so it is a popular spot for book lovers when on literary pilgrimage to the Latin Quarter in the 5th & 6th arrondissements of Paris. It is to this grammar school that both the young de Robespierre and Desmoulins are sent in the story. In real life de Robespierre started there aged 11 in October 1769, staying until he was 23, studying to be a solicitor. Le lycée Louis-le-Grand is on la rue Saint-Jacques which traces the route of le cardo maximus de Lutèce, the great Roman south-to-north axis road of Paris.

This school ist soooo boring... Only books and Numbers why are no gaming Pcs there ? I want to play league of legends and get chellengour... I want to become a mlg pro player and beat all the korean noobs in 1 v 1. 0/5 Needs more gaming education!
