Parc Botanique de Haute Bretagne

Le Parc Botanique de Haute Bretagne is one of the nicest gardens I have been to. It intrigues the visitor with the incredible number of different garden types. These are not immediately apparent but revealed gradually during the course of the visit. Formal gardens give way to a bamboo forest leading to more formal gardens, topiary, ponds, lakes, woodland walks, a Japanese garden and more besides, There are a good number of seats where it is possible to take in the atmosphere of the garden. My favourite is by a pond that has views of the chateau. There is a very good restaurant near the ticket office. It is excellent. I had a nice table in the garden under a sunshade. It is well worth a visit.

This is well worth the 10€ entry fee. The gardens are stunning and varied

Impressive, beyond expectations. An exceptional afternoon walking around the extremely well presented gardens. Full of surprises, lots of ideas to use at home. Highly recommend
