I took my two little grandsons to see Father Christmas (2019) and I must say, it was just lovely. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and it was a superb trip. My grandsons loved everything about it (aged 5 and 6) and thought Santa was very nice (especially as he even walked down the platform at Pontsticill waving to everyone as the steam train left to return to Pant). Beautiful! :-)

I have always wanted to travel on a steam train so was very excited about this. It was really great and lived up to my expectations. Everything was so spot on as regards detail and the staff who work there are very polite. Very interesting to anyone who likes trains obviously but also great for children to learn all about that golden age too.

A spectacular day out for the family showcasing interactivity for all ages and artefacts from the bygone zenith of the mountain railway truly a spectacle that will be remembered. Bitesize nuggets of history and a train yard with models portraying the trains route a gift shop and lovely cafe is on sight for those willing to splurge. The actual is free however the train rides understandably comes at a fee the cafe is quite expensive however the profit made is contributed towards the sites maintenance. Loved it 😁

A firm favourite railway, the locos and carriages are somewhat unique to this line compared to the other little Welsh railways. With American and German locos, with carriages and caboose you can stand out on gives it a bit more magic for young and old alike. Shed is great to see inside too, but for obvious reasons the public are closed off from going down to the machinery, but you can see everything working from the viewing point.
