This is quite an historical place and needs some cash input from maybe the National Trust for refurb and upkeep rather than trying to keep afloat privately with donations. Such a shame as.it could become a very interesting historic site..

Very interesting building architecturally and historically in the most beautiful setting. It will not be an organised visit though. We drove into the car park and wandered around the building and saw no one other than the few tenants who live there. Reception was unmanned.

Really interesting to see how the poor folk were treated and how the building is being adapted to encourage and support local creative activities

The leaflets are untrue. There's no cafe, one miserable video to watch and it certainly doesn't seem to be a place where cultural activities take place
