I visited this on 24 the July 2016. It's of world standard in terms of display and maintenance. Fossil of a deer extinct 10,000/ years ago is one of the valuable collections in this museum. Smaller when compared to London museum s. But those who visit Bristol must visit this museum. As an author from India, I enjoyed visiting museums and historical places in England.

This is a really good museum. So much to see here. I loved the animal part, learnt a lot there. Free entry which is lovely, a donation is welcome and I was more than happy to. The staff were very helpful, the displays were clean and clear. The information about what you were looking at was strong. Would visit again definitely.

Really lovely to be able to come back here! I last attended some years ago, and this time we took our time looking at all the exhibits - which are fab! And exploring the various sections of the museum, which is also far bigger than I remembered and housed in a stunning building in a lovely location. Luckily it's near my office, so I may even pop in on a lunch break one day if I can! Perhaps when restrictions are lifted, I wouldn't want to take up a booked slot when somebody else could use it and spend more time taking in all the amazing objects and information.

Great collection of stuff but.... loads of kids running around and far too warm to visit, especially wearing a mask. Had to carry around jumper, coat, brolly. I'd visit on a T-shirt day when kids are at school and we don't have to wear masks....

Always a pleasure to visit Bristol Museum. 2h appointment slots, hand cleaning stations and a one way system ensure safety. The cafe has excellent home made food and healthy vegan options. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
