The reason for 5 stars is for the fact that the staff are running short due to covid but still managed to be polite and courteous and I feel it would be wrong to lower the rating because europcars website and phone centre's were nothing but a nightmare. Well done

Friendly and efficient. Gave me all the options available. Looked over the car with me. Made sure I was happy. I will definitely be using this service again. Painless. Definable recommended.

Returned hire car over a week ago and raised a query over amount debited from my account for the period of the car rental - I had calculated a lesser amount. I was assured that Carol, who I was told was the manager would call me on her return to the office the next day. No call received. To add insult to injury my account has been debited on 22/10/18 with a further amount! I was advised that on returning the car, there was no further amounts outstanding. Due to a technical error on their computer, Phillip advised me that he could not close the account but not to worry as account clear and car returned. Nothing further to pay. I also requested a full invoice for payments made for my accounting purposes which has not been received either. I am absolutely disgusted that instead of calling me to discuss an over payment, my account has been debited again with absolutely no explanation or warning that this would happen!!!! Or explanation as to why my account has been debited when I had raised a query regarding an over payment that I believed I had made. The lack of customer service in not returning my call is also a disgrace. I have also still not received an invoice as requested at the time of returning the car when payment was made in full. I will not use Europcar again and will use other forms of social media if this remains unresolved.

Good service, new car at a great price!

Car itself was alright, service was okay, just bring a lot of time as we had to wait for an hour even though we had a scheduled appointment. Didn't know there was a deposit of 250 pounds, although I'm sure it is listed somewhere, but in case you didn't read all the details and stuff, just keep that in mind. Return of car also went well. One major problem that really made me angry: As I said there's a 250 pound deposit. The amount of money is then being blocked on your (credit) car and we were told the day you're returning the car, you'll be able to use it again. So no transaction or anything. Returned the car, staff there told us they will delete the blocking in their system, should be able to use the card in a few hours or the next day at the latest. Whole weekend, card didn't work - thought it may just take some time. Bit annoying but ok. Now a MONTH later, I wanted to use the card - card declined! As you can't see any blocked amount in the online services I thought everything is alright and then called my credit card institute. They told me the amount is STILL BLOCKED!!!! I don't know what went wrong or who is responsible for that, but that's something that really makes me angry! We asked two different guys working there two times, how long it takes for the money to be available again and the told us they'll do it right away and it's just a few hours. Guess they still didn't find the time to click one button in their system. Really annoying and because of that definitely won't go there again! Actually quite sad, because the car itself was good and in a good condition...
