A hidden gem right on the estuary. Lovely sculptured archway with little animals hidden in, great for the kids to search them out. Small lake with walkway across and plenty of ducks and birds to look at. Meeting place for model aeroplane enthusiasts, another thing to entertain the children. Walk a little north of the reserve and there are some old boats on the shore that you can walk right up to when the tide is low and its not too wet...and a playground up that way too. Unfortunately not everyone picks up after their dogs, and I have been down when kids using it as a scrambling track
Love this place, i take my dogs they love it and i take my godson who loves it more so. we never get to the park they have as he loves the water and ducks so much lol, although wellies are must if your kids love water
A bit barren but OK if you want a walk along the River Wyre in a bracing breeze. Seems to be popular with dog walkers. Not easy to find as it's along a bumpy road next to the local tip and waste water treatment station.
Far too many ducks!
