Good place for a long flat walk. Some seabirds to look at as you stroll along and if it's not misty decent views across the bay. Nearby scenery is just mudflats with a few houses and caravan parks.

Great place to stop overnight busy during the day but quiet at night stayed there December 5 nice walks and views highly recommended

Great place for walking energetic dogs. Check the ride times before going, use Fleetwood as a gauge. Aim for about half an hour before low tide. Don't go too far out on the sands as the area is known for fast-rising tides and also sinking sand, probably don't go on your own as a precaution. There is a long embankment as the name suggests so you don't need to go on the sand at all. Taken Wellington boots, a bag to put them in afterwards and a change of shoes to drive home in.
