This has been one of my favourite places for years. I have bought furniture, sweets, soap. You name it. The selection may not be as large as the huge department stores but it makes up for that by being individual, top quality and enticing.
An absolutely fantastic collection of gifts and cards and beautiful pieces of furniture and art. As Eddy would say "gorgeous, tasteful, little stylish, little gorgeous things". Couldn't recommend it more highly.
I'm afraid to say I found the staff rude and unwelcoming when I visited a while back. Beautiful shop and product range but I didn't want to linger!
Love this store, it's been going for so long now, I've lost count,they have a lovely array of jewellery kitchen ware toys & just anything you can imagine really they have however cut down in size slightly,but they have a wonderful cafe upstairs a quiet place you can go for lunch meet friends lovely cakes very zen...
A little late posting this review. Purchased a Dutch Bone Jove cabinet that was in the sale. However, on picking up the heavy item from the rear of the store, I found the car park to be quite treacherously narrow and steep to navigate with a car. The main issue was finding that two of the base screw-in legs had faulty threads. I had to return it to the store for a replacement, waiting a few weeks, only to find the exact same problem again. I will add that I am practically-minded, and the store staff agreed that there was a fault. The manager claimed no others had returned, which I found to be highly improbable as the screw threads were very roughly made. Given the original price of it, it was supposedly hand made, and it's stylish look, I was disappointed and gladly accepted the refund. I would not buy any furniture from The Guild again as a result. I will say the guy who assists at the rear of the store was very helpful, but some of the ground floor staff appear a little aloof and dismissive to say the least.
