The Guildhall is a Grade I listed building, built in 1440; it is the town hall of the City of London. Standing in the central square, the facade before you is imposing and beautiful. The Guildhall has its own art gallery which, although not large, has some interesting paintings, the most impressive of which is the large canvas dominating the stairway - ‘The Defeat of the Floating Batteries at Gibraltar’. In the basement of the art gallery are the remains of a Roman amphitheatre, which once occupied the site. Incidentally, close to the Guildhall, on Noble Street, are the remains of the wall of a Roman fort. But for me the highlight of my visit was the Great Hall, laid out when I was there with circular tables and chairs for a dinner or perhaps the Lord Mayor’s Banquet. This vast hall, with its chandeliers and stained glass windows, is home to some wonderful sculptures and has an imposing air of dignity and reverence.

Beautiful venue, terrible customer service. My contact there, it was her first job out of university and she clearly wasn't qualified for the position. She answered all my questions with single word answers (yes or no), contradicted herself, didn't explain anything or offer solutions. Incredibly rude. In all my years of planning events, I have never encountered another venue with such incompetent staff.

I was just a tourist looking around, but instantly, I felt like a special guest at a command performance. Guildhall has that kind of wild vibe.

It is lovely place in the heart of London. Amazing architecture inside, but due to circumstances, photos was forbidden to post. But in my opinion it is great opportunity to visit this landmark.
