A favourite place, love this beach.
HUGE car park to allow lots of people to visit.
Public loos acceptable, better than a lot in Pembrokeshire.
Great access for the beach, the 12th century castle and the 12th century church. Also beach break tea rooms and the Castle Inn pub (a little walk up the hill⁷) the only downfall for me is the price. The tbh it is quite cheap compared to many carparks. It can fit a lot of cars between the grassy and tarmac areas and to be fair, its really quite a pretty car park. There are toilet facilities kept clean more often because of covid, and normally an ice cream van too. Disabled parking is...pay for your ticket and get an extra hour free. I live here and get a little aggrieved as being disabled, I am not normally here longer than an hour so I am paying the full amount every time and getting nothing free with my disability. I feel it should be the other way round for disabled. Have an hour free and then get your ticket to display.
It really is in a beautiful spot in the valley between church castle and village. Nice for a cark Park hey?
The ice cream van was a welcome site when we arrived as it was warm, although his prices could send a shiver down your spine. The ticket machine wouldn't accept £1 coins so we made up the total using silver. The deal breaker for me was the fact it had the first public toilet operated by Danflo that was free of charge!
Love it here ...no barrier so motorhome can park.toilets and bins. Clean beautiful beach lots of walks. Pembrokeshire do look after their beauty spots not like carmarthenshire
Reasonable sized car park, paid but the rates are not overly expensive. Good location to access the beach, coastal paths and castle. Toilets on site are adequate, but not so clean
