“Smoke and Mirrors” is all I can say. What lies behind the lovely facade is lots of clever talk......but not much else. I suggest if you care about your child’s education don’t send them here...If you are too rich to care then this is the perfect place for you.

I don’t usually review establishments but I feel strongly about education. Scarisbrick Hall is a private school owned by one family exclusively, It has it’s s own curriculum and as such does not follow a national framework. Year 5 and 6 students transition into essentially a secondary system... so they travel and lug big bags and books between classes and also are subject to “confinement’s” (basically detentions), My problem with this is that 9 - 10 years olds should NOT have a culture of fear put upon them ( I have seen my bright child - Depressed - unhappy and even scared about using the wrong pen.... Their work suffers and despite the school saying they are doing well and school reports with A’s all over the place I have found their assessment levels quite ridiculous ( They won’t show you until you investigate ) lets put it this way - They are not high - Put in a nutshell your child is looking like they are doing well but in reality they are hugely underachieving. Personally I for one am not been happy subsidising the owners latest Bentley or alike and I suggest no one else should.

I used to go to that school it was an amazing experience I had so many friends who were so kind to me I left in 2013 the clubs and lake were so amazing and teachers are so nice I am only12

still waiting to be reimbursed for travel expenses from an interview in March! I wrote the note above in june, it's now september and I still have not heard from them.
